Tenderfeet Stitches - Bow Tie halter dress

I loved this pattern.  It is very pretty made up and very easy to make.

I thought I would make Maddie (my grand daughter a little Christmas dress).  I don't buy a lot of fabric from Spotlight, I prefer the quilting shops, even though they are a lot more expensive, the fabric is 100 percent cotton and I am not a fan of cotton mix or poplin!  Anyway occasionally they have something I can't resist and this Xmas fabric was one of those.

And of course I think Maddie is gorgeous in it!

This is another little dress I made for Maddie.

Absolutely love this fabric

It is the Gracie Dress by FemiKids Couture

And here is Maddie wearing her new dress with me

Fair and Square - A Tie Dye Diva Pattern

Oh my goodness, I can't believe I haven't posted in a month.  Too much going on.
I tried the Tie Dye Diva Pattern and loved the results.  I had bought the pattern and the  fabric ages ago.

This one has the hem band, I made the flower as a brooch so you can wear it on the dress or a headband

And this is the version without the hem band

I love the fabric for this style of dress.

Ruffle back dress - Pattern by FooFoo Threads

This was my first attempt at shirring.  I have always avoided it as it looks so difficult.

Well I here to tell you it is easy as.

Back ruffles - I added an extra one.

Front is pretty with ruffle on bodice

And of course a matching headband

Lovely Isobel modeled it for me

Isobel loved it so much her mother had to wash the dress
every evening for 3 nights so Isobel could wear it the next day

Yummy Quinoa Bakes

I have lots of food intolerance's and I work on the road.  So getting something for lunch some days is quite a challenge.

I made these the other day and they are perfect.

The base recipe is 1 and 1/2 cups of Quinoa rinsed and cooked
And 6 eggs.

To this you add what ever you like
Spray your muffin pan, add mix and cook in 180 degree oven.

Here are some variations I have made.

Chicken, sundried tomatoes, capsicum, olives, onion, zucchini, goats cheese rolled in ash and basil.

Baby spinach, broccoli, grated carrot, grated zucchini, sliced mushrooms, 3 cloves of garlic.

1 grated zucchini, 1 grated carrot, I chopped onion, spinach leaves, sliced mushrooms, chopped tomatoes, chopped pumpkin and 3 cloves of garlic and Italian herbs.

The other great thing about these is they cook fast.

And they taste great cold.

Next I am going to make bacon, pumpkin and corn
and salmon and asparagus

Hope you enjoy!

Sling Bags and other things

It has been ages since I posted...other than the giveaway info. I wanted to keep the giveaway info at the top and I've been very tired and not up to much.  But,  I had my gorgeous family from Melbourne stay with me.

My son Chris, my daughter in law Kylie and little Miss Maddie

I made this cute little vintage style dress for Maddie

I think she looks gorgeous in it.

I have made some sling bags.  Danique wanted one.  So I drew a pattern and after a few tweaks to the pattern this is how they tuned out

Oh and I made these two little skirts for Maddie

I love this fabric!
